Kerbie Barrantes, DNP
Kerbie holds a Master of Science degree in Nursing from the University of Phoenix and a Doctor of Nursing Practice from Washington State University. He is also certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner with the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
Kerbie, as he prefers to be addressed, started his healthcare career in 1999 as a Physical Therapist. Having served several stints as a CCU RN at Grays Harbor Community Hospital, he noticed a clear shortage of medical providers in Grays Harbor County. Recognizing the need, Kerbie decided to go back to school so he could start a practice devoted to providing professional, comprehensive, and compassionate medical care services for individuals and families in rural communities. Having grown up in a rural area of the Philippines, Kerbie is dedicated to offering his skills as a healthcare professional and understands the challenges faced in our rural community.
Kerbie is passionate about patient-centered care and wants to help you attain your healthcare goals by building trusting and a long-lasting relationship. Kerbie believes in continuous learning and as he says, “I’m always looking for ways to improve my skills and to continue learning so that I can offer the best comprehensive healthcare for my patients.”
He values his time serving our country in the United States Navy Reserves Nursing Corps, affording him an opportunity to provide his healthcare experience to our deserving military as a Reserve Navy Officer. Away from work, Kerbie enjoys outdoor activities, spending time with family and friends, and perfecting his culinary skills in his kitchen.
Mia Gerard, MSN, FNP-BC
Mia Gerard is certified as Family Nurse Practitioner with the American Nurses Credentialing Center. She has a Master of Science in Nursing degree from Simmons University, in Boston, Massachusetts. She finished her Bachelor’s degree in Nursing in the Philippines where she started her healthcare career working as a nurse.
Mia moved to Grays Harbor in 2010 and has worked in different settings such as critical care, medical/surgical, and long-term care. After many years of experience as a nurse, Mia recognized the need for more primary care providers in our community. Wanting to better serve the community, she decided to return to school and become a Nurse Practitioner.
Mia has often been complimented on her caring and pleasant demeanor. She is eager to help improve her patients’ quality of life by creating and maintaining a healthier lifestyle.
Mia enjoys living in Grays Harbor with her husband and son. She says “life in the Philippines was great, but Grays Harbor is my home now.” She loves exploring the outdoors and spending time with family and friends. She believes in building strong relationships, in order to provide personalized, holistic care, tailored to meet each patients’ specific needs.
Rebecca Collins, ARNP
With over ten years of diverse nursing experience, Rebecca brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to our clinic.
Rebecca's most recent work in palliative and hospice care allowed her to serve a rural community similar to Montesano, where she found her love for working in rural communities. According to Rebecca, “I have a passion for patient-centered holistic care as I feel the body is not separate from mind or spirit. I enjoy getting to know patients for who they are where they are so we can achieve your health goals together. I want to work with people from all ages and backgrounds to develop trusting and lasting relationships. Being able to complete most of my clinical hours within the Harbor Regional Health system I knew I wanted to join the team and serve the Grays Harbor community.”
Born and raised in Portland, Oregon, Rebecca is a true Pacific Northwest enthusiast. After moving to Washington and obtaining a Bachelor's in Science in Nursing from Pacific Lutheran University, Rebecca has worked as a nurse for over ten years, gaining valuable experience in various fields. Her passion for helping people and developing trusting relationships led her to pursue her Masters of Science in Nursing from Gonzaga University.
In her free time, Rebecca enjoys exploring the great outdoors with her husband and kids. As an avid runner, she's always looking for new trails to conquer, and she loves to hike and explore the diverse climates and terrains that Washington has to offer. Rebecca's ultimate goal is to visit all 63 National Parks, and she's already halfway there! When not outside, she loves to spend time with her family playing board games or watching movies.
The Harbor Regional Health Family Medicine team in Montesano is thrilled to have Rebecca Collins, ARNP, join the team, and we know that our patients will benefit from her compassion, expertise, and dedication to patient-centered care. Please join us in welcoming Rebecca to the Harbor Regional Health family!
